During the pandemic, my wife and I found ourselves in severe financial difficulty. Within two months of the first UK Lockdown, I had been made redundant (with no redundancy pay) and we were surviving on one salary whilst living in one of the most expensive areas of the country (Surrey). Before this, we had not given much thought to our finances. We managed to pay our bills each month but we had not given deep strategic thought to our financial situation. We were being directed by our money, rather than giving our money direction. Money was our master, rather than our servant.

Our circumstance led us to research all we could regarding personal finance which has helped us to eliminate our debts, build up our savings and investments, and substantially grow our net worth within three years. We have transformed our fiannces and our relationship with money. This has led us to become happier, more secure and free from being the servant of our money.
